Big Peat Prohibition Edition is an Islay blended malt Scotch whisky from Douglas Laing, bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. It is one of only 100 bottles, and it carries no added colouring and is not chill filtered.
Tasting notes describe a nose of wet peat, beach bonfire smoke, seaweed and iodine, with a fresh touch of lemon peel and vanilla. The palate brings creamy waves of ash, caramel, toasted barley and liquorice over a salty seabed note. The finish is long and warm, with smoke, white pepper and a subtle fruity sweetness.
