A 16 year old single malt from an undisclosed Islay distillery, released under the Big Peat's Finest name. It was distilled in October 2006 and bottled in February 2023 by Douglas Laing as part of the Old Particular range. It was matured in a single refill butt, cask DL15960, and bottled at natural cask strength of 56% ABV. The outturn was 507 bottles.
The label describes tarry ropes, a medicinal quality, lingering Islay character and a touch of iodine.
