This is an 8 year old single malt from an undisclosed Islay distillery, released under the Big Peat's Finest name as part of Douglas Laing's Old Particular range. It was distilled in April 2016 and bottled in July 2024 at 48.4%, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was finished in a red wine cask, and 370 bottles were filled from cask DL18990. Douglas Laing's Big Peat range is devoted to the peated malts of Islay.
The label points to red fruits, salty maritime notes and smoky bacon.
