An Islay blended malt Scotch whisky from Douglas Laing, made as a small batch and bottled at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose opens with clean peat, cold bonfire ash and chimney smoke. The palate is oily, creamy and dense, with peat, tar and petrol alongside a salty, rustic edge. Fresh pepper, liquorice and toasted wood follow, balanced by a subtle sweetness of dark chocolate, caramel and s'mores.
The finish is medium to long and smoky, with a dry feel, lingering ash, dry wood, salted liquorice and a hint of dark cocoa or espresso.
