Big Peat The Smokehouse Edition is a blended malt from Douglas Laing, released for Fèis Ìle 2023 and bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle.
It is a blend of Islay single malts, most of which have been finished in full-bodied red wine casks. The idea behind it is a whisky to go with steak, and with grilled food more generally, for those who would usually reach for red wine.
