Big Peat The Tropaigeach Edition is an Islay whisky released to mark Feis Ile 2024. It was matured in hand-selected ex-rum casks, which give this peaty expression a tropical turn.
It is bottled at 48% with no colouring or chill-filtration, and 5,588 bottles were made worldwide.
The nose offers honeyed apricot, toasted almonds and a hint of smoke. On the palate the texture is velvety, with ripe orchard fruits, rich caramel and subtle spice. The finish is long and warming, with oak and a touch of vanilla.
