Black Rock Batch 12 Single Grain Irish Whiskey (70cl, 57.9%)

Batch 12 of the Black Rock series is an eight-year-old Irish single grain whiskey, taken from a single cask and bottled at a cask strength of 57.9% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. After maturing, the whiskey was finished in a re-toasted ex-bourbon STR cask. The nose offers vanilla crescent biscuits and crème brûlée, with marzipan, dried apricot and milk chocolate. On the palate there is creamy vanilla, toasted wood and burnt almonds. The finish is long, pairing vanilla with spice.
