Black Snake Vat 17 Third Venom (59.6%)

Black Snake Vat No. 17 Third Venom is a single malt from Blackadder's Black Snake series, bottled in March 2021 at 59.6% to celebrate 25 years of Blackadder. It carries no distillery name and filled 376 bottles. The whisky begins in first-fill ex-bourbon casks. Three of them are emptied into new Oloroso or PX sherry butts for about a year, and two thirds is then bottled. Two more bourbon casks of the same whisky are added and the cycle repeats, so each release, known as a Venom, holds some spirit from earlier ones. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
