This is a 10 year old peated blended malt from Blackadder, given an Oloroso sherry finish. It is bottled at a cask strength of 58.6% ABV, unfiltered and uncoloured, with visible cask residue in the bottle. The outturn is 703 bottles.
The nose opens with dry peat smoke, charcoal and campfire, followed by raisins, nuts, cocoa and a hint of leather. The palate is full-bodied, with pepper, toasted wood, dark chocolate and a salty, smoky core, plus warmth and a light sweetness from the sherry. The finish is long and warming, with smoke and sherry bitterness.
