Blackadder Peat Reek Embers (2022) (70cl, 59.2%)

Blackadder Peat Reek Embers is a cask strength, peated single malt from the Special Reserve range, bottled at 59.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Its smoke level is given as 50 ppm. The whisky was finished in an Oloroso sherry butt, and this edition was limited to 464 bottles. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The nose brings smouldering wood, campfire smoke and ash alongside dark chocolate, raisins, candied orange peel and spicy oak. The palate is full-bodied, balancing smoke, sweet sherry and dry spice, and the finish is long, warming and smoky.
