A Japanese single malt from Shizuoka Distillery, bottled by Blackadder in its Raw Cask series. It was distilled in 2018 and bottled in 2022 at 61.1% ABV, straight from a single cask without filtration or dilution. The outturn is 177 bottles. Raw Cask bottlings go into the bottle as they left the cask, so visible cask marks are part of the style. The nose is powerful and concentrated, with deep malt, woody spices and a warm, oily richness. The palate is full and firm, with pronounced grain and spicy wood, followed by a long, dry finish.
