Blackadder Raw Cask Shizuoka 2019 (2023) (64%)

A Japanese single malt from Shizuoka Distillery, bottled by Blackadder in its Raw Cask style. The whisky was distilled on 20 March 2019, matured in wine casks and bottled on 1 August 2023 at 64%, straight from the cask without filtration or dilution. Only 217 bottles were produced, and natural cask particles may be present. The nose is intense, deep and layered, with dark fruit, concentrated malt, woody spices and a distinct wine influence. The palate is powerful and oily, with cereals, wood, spices and ripe fruit. The finish is long and dry.
