Red Snake is a Raw Cask single malt from Blackadder, bottled in 2022 at 59.4% ABV without an age statement. It comes from a single cask and was filled into 258 bottles. Raw Cask bottlings are unfiltered and left at natural colour, so the whisky goes into the bottle as it came from the cask. The nose is intense, with sweet malt, ripe fruit, peppery spices and a light mineral note, then warm alcohol and wood. The palate is powerful and dry, with grain, caramelised sugars, spicy warmth and a slight bitterness. The finish is long and warm, with lingering spice and cask influence.
