Blade and Bow Kentucky Straight Bourbon

Blade and Bow Kentucky Straight Bourbon is a homage to the Stitzel-Weller distillery. It is made with a solera system that preserves some of the distillery's oldest stocks, including some of the last bourbon produced there before it closed in 1992. The solera liquid is mingled with other whiskies aged and bottled at Stitzel-Weller, and the bourbon is aged in new charred American white oak barrels. The aroma is subtle, with fresh fruit. The palate shows dried apricot, ripe pear and sweet roasted grain, and the finish brings charred oak and warm winter spices.
