This is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Blanton's, produced at Buffalo Trace in Frankfort and dating from 1996, in a 700ml bottle.
The Takara Gold Derby Edition was made for the Japanese market through Takara Shuzo, the original Japanese importer of Blanton's, which brought the brand to Japan in the 1980s. It has Takara's own label design and a Derby-themed presentation that reflects the horse racing identity of the Blanton's brand.
