Blanton's Gold Edition is a straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery, bottled at 51.5% in a 75cl bottle. It is a higher-strength companion to Blanton's Original Single Barrel.
Each bottle is drawn from a single barrel, so it carries the character of that particular cask.
The nose is caramel, vanilla, honey and toasted oak. The palate is full-bodied, with caramel, toffee, vanilla and oak alongside cinnamon and nutmeg. The finish is long, with sweet caramel, spice and a touch of charred oak.
