Blanton's La Maison du Whisky 2024 Foundations is a single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, drawn from Warehouse H. It was produced for La Maison du Whisky in Paris and comes in a 700ml bottle.
Foundations is the name of the 2024 edition, a reference to the importance of single barrel selection in that Paris programme.
The nose is powerful and dry, with honey, rye, dried fruits, vanilla and chocolate. The palate is full and rich, with apricot, butter, pepper, honey and oak. The finish is long, moving from toffee apple to pecan and caramel.
