Blanton's Original Single Barrel Bourbon (75cl, 46.5%)

Blanton's Original is a single barrel bourbon bottled at 46.5%, in a 75cl bottle. It is taken from the centre-cut sections of Warehouse H and is described as the world's first single barrel bourbon. It was once set aside for ambassadors, dignitaries and Colonel Blanton's family and friends. The recipe is corn, rye and malted barley, and the bourbon is aged in white oak barrels with a number 4 char. It is chill-filtered. The nose is spicy, with dried citrus and orange peel, caramel and vanilla. The palate brings burnt sugar, caramel, orange and cloves, and the finish is balanced, with vanilla, honey and citrus.
