Blanton's Straight From Barrel (70cl, 65%)

Blanton's Straight From Barrel is a single barrel bourbon, taken directly from the cask into a 70cl bottle at 65% vol. Because each bottling comes from an individual barrel, small differences from one bottle to the next are possible. The horse and jockey on the stopper is the emblem of the brand. A collectable set of eight different stoppers has been made since 1999, each marked with a letter that spells out the name Blanton's. The flavour brings dried fruit, nutmeg and pepper alongside vanilla. It stays agreeable on the palate and into the finish despite its strength, with oak notes accompanying the end.
