Blanton's Straight From The Barrel is a single-barrel bourbon made at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky, in a 70cl bottle at 62% ABV. It is bottled directly from the barrel without dilution, and each bottle is drawn from an individual barrel.
The nose has dark caramel, vanilla bean, toasted oak, honey and baking spices, with dried fruit, orange peel and roasted nuts. The palate brings toffee, brown sugar, cinnamon, clove, dark chocolate and charred oak, with sweet corn and a hint of leather. The finish is long and warming, with spice, caramelised sugar, oak and vanilla.
