Blood Oath Pact No. 7 is the 2021 release in Lux Row's annual Blood Oath series, a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 49.3% (98.6 proof) in a 750ml bottle. John Rempe blended three bourbons made from rye mash bills: one aged 14 years, and two aged 8 years, one of which was finished in Sauternes casks from Bordeaux.
The production run was 51,000 bottles.
The nose combines caramel, oak and honey with orange, apricot and bread pudding. The palate is fruit-forward and rounded, with apricot, honey, peach, cinnamon, tropical fruit and baking spice over toasted oak. The finish is warm and sweet, closing on honeyed stone fruit and oak.
