Blue Run Golden Rye is a small batch Kentucky straight rye and the first rye whiskey from Blue Run. The name refers to the distinct golden colour of the grains used and of the whiskey that results.
It won a Gold medal at the 2021 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
The nose is honey-baked graham cracker with sweet grains and wood sugar. The finish is easy-going, resting on honey and a dash of pear syrup, with a touch of ginger adding a light tingle.
