Blue Run Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 'Chosen 23' (55%)

This is a single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from Blue Run Spirits of Georgetown, Kentucky, released through the company's 'Chosen' private barrel programme. It is bottled at 55% and pours a deep amber colour. The barrel was selected with Whiskey Director Shaylyn Gammon. The nose offers ripe red fruits, citrus oleo saccharum, vanilla bean and cinnamon candy, with light roast coffee and chocolate chip cookies. The palate is bold and leather-led, with tobacco leaf, barrel char and cacao powder, and the finish stays with tobacco, leather and dark chocolate.
