Michter's – US*1 Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey (70cl, 42.4%)

Michter's US*1 Single Barrel is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey, bottled at 42.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The Michter's name traces back to John Shenk, who founded a whiskey distillery in Pennsylvania in 1753. His rye was bought even by the army during the War of Independence. The brand later passed from Shenk's to Bomberger's and then to Michter's in the 1950s, and was revived afterwards by Joseph J. Magliocco and Richard Newman. Today the whiskey is made in Louisville, Kentucky, and the US*1 mark on the label recalls that history.
