This is the 2019 release of Michter's 10 Year Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon, in a 750ml bottle at 47.2% ABV (94.4 proof).
The bourbon was distilled in Kentucky and aged for over a decade in fire charred new American white oak barrels. Every bottle is drawn from a single barrel, and the barrel number is written on a hangtag.
The nose is rich with dark toffee, caramel, charred oak, maple syrup and vanilla, with dark fruit, leather and tobacco arriving later. The palate is full bodied, with sweet corn, cherry, marmalade and dark caramel, then baking spice, dark chocolate and roasted nuts. The finish is long, with charred oak, tobacco, leather, vanilla and maple.
