Bomberger's Declaration Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon (75cl, 54%)

Bomberger's Declaration is a small batch Kentucky straight bourbon from Michter's Distillery, named after the Bomberger's distillery name that dates back to the 1800s. It is bottled at 108 proof (54%) in a 750ml bottle. It is made with selected barrels, including specially toasted and charred Chinquapin oak barrels, which are said to add depth and a distinctive spice character. It is released in limited quantities each year. The nose combines rich caramel, vanilla, toasted oak, dark fruit and baking spice. Toffee, brown sugar, chocolate, cinnamon, oak and hints of dried fruit show on the palate. The finish is long and warming, with spice, oak and sweet caramel.
