Blue Run Kentucky Straight High Rye Bourbon is a small-batch bourbon, here from the Spring 2022 batch and bottled at 111 proof (55.5%). It is the first Blue Run release with Jim Rutledge, a Bourbon Hall of Famer, as contracted Master Distiller. On earlier Blue Run products, apart from Golden Rye, he served as Liquid Advisor. The notes describe caramel and baking spices within a frame of toasted oak, finishing on stone fruit and black pepper.
