Booker's 2022-02, 'The Lumberyard Batch', is a Kentucky straight bourbon at 62.4% ABV, in a 75cl bottle. It is made up of five production dates aged in seven different warehouses, with most of the barrels coming from the fourth, fifth and sixth floors. The batch was pulled during the rainy weeks before the Kentucky Derby, and its amber colour reminded the master distiller of the racehorses. It is dedicated to the years the master distiller's father worked at The Lumberyard. The aroma is deep, with vanilla and oak. The taste is balanced, with a little sweetness and a pleasant finish.
