Boot Hill White Whiskey is a young American whiskey from Boot Hill Distillery in Dodge City, Kansas, in a 75cl bottle at 40% ABV.
It is made from a mash of 51% corn and 49% wheat, using grain grown on the Kelman family farm in Western Kansas, and rested for just one week in charred oak barrels. The distillery occupies Dodge City's former City Hall, on the site of the original Boot Hill Cemetery.
The nose is strong with grain, sweet corn, black pepper and freshly baked bread. Vanilla leads the palate, followed by black pepper and oak over brown sugar and dry cocoa. The finish is long, yeasty-sweet and led by wheat.
