Borders Deep Time Workshop Series (70cl, 40%)

A limited edition blended Scotch from The Borders Distillery in Hawick, released in August 2026 as the fourth and final bottling in its Workshop Series. Only 750 bottles were produced, in 70cl at 40%. It combines malt and rye whiskies, both double distilled in pot stills on site, made from a 2019 batch of distillate that has been matured for longer to show the effect of extended maturation. The name marks 300 years since the birth of the Scottish geologist James Hutton. The nose is tart apple, malty biscuits and vanilla. On the palate come cinnamon, caramelised sugar and peach, and the finish brings honey, toasted oak and leather.
