This is an eleven-year-old Islay single malt from Bowmore, matured in a combination of ex-bourbon casks and Spanish oak sherry casks. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered, with colouring added.
The bourbon casks bring bright vanilla and citrus, while the sherry casks add darker notes of raisins, caramel and spice, alongside gentle peat smoke, maritime hints and ripe fruit on the nose.
The palate is smoky and warm, with sweet sherried fruit, vanilla, dark berries and fine oak spice, on a soft texture. The finish is medium to long, with lingering smoke, spicy oak and a pleasant sweetness.
