Bowmore – 12 Year Old Islay Single Malt (40%)

Bowmore 12 Years Old is an Islay single malt bottled at 40%, described as complex and perfectly balanced. It has been called remarkably lasting and complex. Bowmore is the oldest distillery on Islay, standing by the harbour in the village of Bowmore, facing the Atlantic. During the Second World War it served as an air base, and production stopped between 1940 and 1943. The distillery has had several owners and names over its history, but the methods and recipes have stayed the same.
