Bowmore 15 Year Old is an Islay single malt matured for at least 15 years in European oak oloroso sherry casks and American oak ex-bourbon barrels. It is then finished in European oak casks seasoned with oloroso sherry, and bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose offers moist Corinth raisins, sweet dates, cinnamon, cocoa beans, dark chocolate and subtle smoke. On the palate come cedarwood, treacle toffee, clove and liquorice root, leading to a rich, wooded finish with sweet spice.
