A Bowmore 15 Year Sherry Oak Cask, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky is matured for at least fifteen years in European oak oloroso sherry casks and American oak ex-bourbon barrels, then finished in European oak casks seasoned with oloroso sherry.
The nose brings moist Corinth raisins and sweet dates, with cinnamon, cocoa beans, a touch of dark chocolate and gentle smoke. On the palate come cedarwood, treacle toffee, boiled sweets, clove and liquorice root. The finish is rich and woody, ending on sweet spice.
