This is an 18-year-old Islay single malt from the Bowmore distillery, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. It is chill-filtered and has added colour.
The nose is smoky and peaty, with floral and fruity touches, and honey, spice and vanilla running through the peat. On the palate there is gentle sweetness alongside peat, a salty, maritime quality, and fruit such as ripe pear and citrus.
The finish is long. Smoke and peat linger, with warmth from spice and vanilla, and it closes on a soft, salty note.
