This is a 22 year old Islay single malt from Bowmore, distilled in 1964. R.W. Duthie & Co. of Aberdeen bottled it in 1986 for the Corti Brothers of Sacramento. It is in a 75cl bottle at 43% ABV.
The nose is typically described as fresh lemon, almonds and oysters, with touches of ink, old magazines and cod liver oil. On the palate it starts light, then moves to lemon, citron and smoked fish before tropical fruit arrives. The finish is a little saltier, light and delicate, with smoked salmon and iodine.
