A 1969 Islay single malt from Bowmore, matured in a sherry cask and bottled at full proof, 58% ABV, in a 75cl bottle. It was bottled from cask 6634 for Edoardo Giaccone's Whiskyteen at Salò, to mark its 20th anniversary. The whisky was under ten years old when bottled.
The nose is phenolic and mineral, with diesel oil, new plastic, grass, grease, damp clay and graphite, and no fruit. The palate is focused and compact yet complex, with a strong peat character. The finish is very long, lemony and salty.
