A 1972 Bowmore from Islay, distilled shortly after the Morrison takeover and matured in sherry casks. It was bottled for Oddbins at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
Tasting notes describe a gold whisky with a nose of bitter oranges, tangerines, sea air and leather, with hints of rosemary and thyme. The palate brings orange marmalade, dried ginger, cardamom and salty oysters alongside mild peat, and the long finish turns jammy and citrusy.
