This is a 30 year old Islay single malt from Bowmore, bottled by Hunter Laing for the 2019 release of its Kinship Collection. It is a cask strength bottling at 46.2% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky spent three decades in a single refill bourbon hogshead.
The nose is sweet and smoky, with hints of vanilla and pears. On the palate there is salty, smoky driftwood, floral peat and sweet barley, which develop into vanilla, honey and rich, earthy peat.
