This is a single cask Bowmore, distilled on Islay on 17 September 1992 and bottled from a bourbon cask in September 2017 at 25 years old. It was bottled at cask strength, 50.7%, for the Mackillop's Choice range.
The nose offers lemony malt with clear but balanced peat smoke, along with vanilla, heather and citrus peel. The palate is peaty without being heavy, with citrus and marine tones, and a smoky, honeyed character with well integrated wood spice. The finish carries lemon peel, with oak following through.
