This is a single cask Bowmore from Islay, distilled in 2002 and aged 18 years. Douglas Laing bottled it in the Old Particular series, without chill-filtering or added colouring.
The nose is elegant, with peat smoke, sea salt, citrus and toasted oak. The palate is layered, with sweet malt, dried fruit, vanilla and a light medicinal note.
The finish is long and warm, with mineral notes and the smoke of classic Bowmore.
