This is a 25 year old Islay single malt from Bowmore, bottled in 2014 at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured for a quarter of a century in North American bourbon and Spanish sherry casks.
The whisky is a deep, rich mahogany in colour. On the nose there is intense sherry and stewed fruit with a trace of Bowmore's smokiness. The palate brings toffee and hazelnut woven with a hint of sweet peat smoke, and the finish is mellow, gentle and complex.
