This is a 25 year old small batch release of Bowmore, an Islay single malt Scotch whisky bottled in 2014 at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured for a quarter of a century in North American bourbon casks and Spanish sherry casks.
The colour is a deep, rich mahogany. The nose has intense sherry and stewed fruits with a trace of Bowmore smokiness. On the palate there are toffee and hazelnut, woven with a hint of sweet peat smoke. The finish is mellow, gentle and complex.
