This is a 30 year old Bowmore, an Islay single malt Scotch whisky bottled by Hunter Laing for the 2019 release of its Kinship Collection. It is bottled at a cask strength of 46.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky spent three decades in a single refill bourbon hogshead before bottling.
The nose is sweet and smoky, with hints of vanilla and pear. The palate begins with salty, smoky driftwood, floral peat and sweet barley, then moves to vanilla, honey and earthy peat.
