Bowmore – Sherry Oak Cask 15 Years Old (43%)

This is a 15 year old Islay single malt from Bowmore, matured in sherry oak and bottled at 43%. It sets the island's smoky character beside the sweetness and warm spice of the sherry cask. The nose combines peat smoke, dark fruit and sweet sherry notes. On the palate the malt is full, with raisins, dark chocolate, caramel and warm spices, and Bowmore's maritime edge alongside the drier, spicy tones of the cask. The finish is long, with peat smoke, dark fruit and the warm sweetness of sherry.
