This is the first release in the Bowmore Vault Edition, a single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 51.5% in a 70cl bottle. It is made with hand selected ex-bourbon casks and is named for the No.1 Vaults, where Atlantic sea spray washes against the sea-facing wall.
The nose is fresh and zesty with citrus. The palate offers sweet salted honeycomb and spiced cocoa, with the tang of blood orange. The finish brings blackberry, sea salt and lingering citrus.
