This single malt was distilled in 2014 at Braeval, high in the Braes of Glenlivet in Speyside, and bottled by the independent bottler Thompson Bros. of Dornoch. The label art is by KMG.
It was matured for 12 years in a first fill barrel and bottled at natural cask strength of 55.3% ABV, with natural colour and no chill filtration. The cask has transformed a spirit that is usually light, fruity and floral.
It is described as heavy, dark and dense, big, sweet and mouth-filling with a viscous texture, and a long, warming, pleasantly drying finish.
