Bruichladdich 10 Years Old is a single malt Scotch from the 1980s, in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV.
The nose is sweet, with malted biscuit, cereal, vanilla and marzipan, ripe banana, apple and a little pineapple, and a background of old books, the so-called old bottle effect.
The palate is oily, fresh and distinctly salty, with wild honey, lemon peel, ginger and nuts, plus a light peppery spice. The finish is medium, dry and clean, with soft oak, minerals and sea breeze.
