Port Charlotte 10 Year Old is a heavily peated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, a permanent age-statement release that follows a run of limited bottlings. It is distilled from Scottish-grown barley and peated to 40ppm. Maturation is mainly in first-fill American oak, with second-fill American oak and second-fill French wine casks alongside. The peat leaves room for maritime notes, caramel, coconut and orchard fruits. On the nose, dry, earthy peat ash sits with caramel, fudge, vanilla custard, lemon and clementine. The palate is soft, with coconut, lemon honey and smoked oysters, and the finish brings fudge, orange, mango and ripe apple.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
