Bruichladdich Eighteen is an unpeated Islay single malt, matured for 18 years and bottled at 100 proof in a 75cl bottle. The barley is a mix of Scottish mainland, Islay and organic grain, with each harvest traceable from farm to bottle.
The whisky was distilled in 2004 and matured on Islay, mostly in bourbon casks with a small number of Sauternes and Port casks. It comes in a moulded fibre cocoon.
The nose is floral, with peach, honeysuckle, violet and lavender alongside vanilla and creamed coconut. The palate brings honey, butterscotch and tropical fruit, and the finish is mineral, with oak, stoned fruit and a delicate floral note.
